Varsity head Coach Bryan JonesVarsity Head Coach - Bryan Jones

Bryan Jones is a graduate of The University of Georgia and started playing volleyball during the last year of high school. He played in outdoor tournaments and indoor leagues all around the Atlanta area and wanted to soak up as much volleyball information as he could.

Bryan took his first coaching job at the age of 19 with the North Atlanta Volleyball Club where he and good friend Shaun Catlin coached the 15s team. Half way through this season Bryan was accepted on transfer to the University of Georgia, and moved up to Athens. Once in Athens Bryan tried out for and made UGA Men's Volleyball Club Team, where he played for three seasons.

After graduating Bryan moved back home and got right back into coaching. He hooked up with the Atlanta Junior's Volleyball Club and coached with them for 4 years. While coaching for Atlanta Juniors Bryan also began to coach at Pope High School. Jones was the Varsity Assistant for 3 seasons under Medra Ashmore and took over the head coaching position at the end of his 3rd season with the Greyhounds.

After pulling double coaching duty (for Juniors and High School) Coach Jones decided to focus solely on high school, and took a break from the junior's world. In 2004 Jones lead the Greyhounds to an Area 1AAAAA Championship and a Final Four appearance. (Both of which were a first for the Pope High School Volleyball Team). In 2005 the Greyhounds finished runner up in Area 1AAAAA and finished in the top 10 in the State.

In 2006 Bryan coached the 'hounds to an Area 1AAAAA championship and a state final 4 appearance.

When he is not coaching Bryan loves to spend time with his lovely wife Jenny and his two super cute baby girls: Sydney (born July 2003) and Jordyn (born October 2005)!! He also enjoys cheering on his favorite team*The Georgia Bulldogs!!!
